The OECD invites applications for a Sub-Saharan Africa Programme Coordinator in Paris. You will join the Division for Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Latin America to support energy policy analysis and engagement with SSA governments and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in energy policy, strong research and drafting skills, and fluency in English or French with willingness to learn the other. The 12-month contract starts October 2026 and offers a dynamic international work

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in energy policy, focusing on Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Experience drafting policy briefs and reports for international orgs.
• Experience interacting with governments and stakeholders in SSA.

Responsabilités

• Carry out research and analysis on energy policy and SSA developments.
• Support engagement with SSA stakeholders and delegations.
• Organise activities and events in Paris and SSA, including workshops.
• Draft briefs and memos for IEA activities.
• Support reporting requirements of CETP.
• Prepare documents and inputs for IEA committees.
• Provide qualitative and quantitative analytical support and peer reviews.
• Contribute to communication efforts including letters and newsletters.
