Are you a customer-obsessed Solution Architect with a passion for helping customers achieve their full potential? We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Senior Solution Architect to join the AWS Global Sales (AGS) Enterprise Applications, Migration and Modernisation team as an Infrastructure Modernization Specialist Solutions Architect. This role will focus on our French region, part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth across small, mid-market, and enterprise-level customers, including the public sector.

As an Infrastructure Modernization Solution Architect, you will develop solutions for customers migrating their workloads—typically on VMware on-premises solutions—to AWS native technologies via our VMware migration pathways. A good understanding of Microsoft technologies, including .NET frameworks, Linux, and container solutions, is essential.

Key job responsibilities

1. Work with your business development manager to support business growth, develop go-to-market strategies, and scale initiatives within France.
2. Represent the voice of the customer by collaborating with field and regional teams to relay customer feedback to product teams.
3. Provide technical expertise to unblock critical customer challenges.
4. Collaborate with Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) teams to support go-to-market strategies, technical events, campaigns, and customer engagements.
5. Share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking at AWS events.
6. Create internal enablement materials to help the broader Solution Architect team understand VMware migration pathways.
7. Participate actively in the AWS Technical Field Community (TFC) within your domain.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in technology domains such as cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data analytics.
• Experience in application and infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.
• Successful consulting or architecture experience with large-scale customers.
• Experience with VMware or similar hypervisor solutions.
• Experience migrating and modernizing Microsoft workloads to the cloud.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years in application and infrastructure design/implementation/consulting.
• 6+ years managing technical, customer-facing teams.
• Relevant AWS industry certifications such as VMware VCP/VCAP, Microsoft Azure, or AWS Solution Architect.
