Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Marketing Manager - EMEA Region to join our Ashland EMEA business. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Personal Care team. This position will report to the General Manager, PC, EMEA.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work closely with the EMEA general manager to implement and drive the Personal Care strategy in the EMEA region
  • Responsible for delivering on specific financial targets versus business plan
  • Scope of responsibilities span commercial, innovation and operational:
  • Commercial:
    • Price setting for existing and new products
    • Collaborate with the Sales team to realize commercial initiatives related to new product wins, share gains, pricing and sales pipeline management
    • Tracking and reporting on business performance and sales activities
  • Innovation:
    • Five areas of responsibility: (1) new project ideation, (2) project pipeline management, (3) new product introduction sales performance, (4) technical service projects and (5) management of customer briefs
    • Lead and partner with other regional marketing directors on new product introductions and the innovation process.
    • Key stakeholder in the innovation process (project ideation / identification, innovation pipeline management and responsible for working with Sales and R&D to commercialize new product introductions)
  • Operational:
    • Collaborate with Product management, supply chain and operations on key supply projects in the region
    • Active member in S&OP meetings

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (science, math or engineering)
  • 10+ years in a technical role influencing innovation, as well as robust B2B experience
  • Strong experience in the Personal Care Ingredients Industry
  • Experience leading a team and driving strategy development and adoption
  • Travel up to 40% in EMEA (mostly Europe) and occasionally to USA
  • Ability to be a self-starter, work independently, and function in ambiguity

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced degree preferred
