Our Paris office will host our core R&D team developing our flagship product, Construct. Construct is a B2B SaaS construction management and quality control platform designed specifically for utility-scale solar projects. By integrating GIS, AI/ML, IoT, and mobile technologies, it significantly improves safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance. Construct has supported over 16 GW of projects for leading owners and EPCs.

The Role

The Sr Manager of AI / ML Engineering at Terabase will be part of the software product development team, reporting to the Head of Engineering in Paris. You will work in Terabase's high-growth, innovative, lean, and values-driven environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate adaptability, curiosity, resourcefulness, problem-solving skills, proactivity, collaboration, and dedication to accelerating global decarbonization through digital and automation technologies.

The AI / ML Engineering team will design, build, release, and support features for our flagship SaaS product, Construct. We seek an experienced team leader who is also a hands-on developer, capable of writing high-quality code, leading an engineering team, and shaping the culture of our Paris office. Success involves being a strong technologist, thoughtful leader, and culture role model.

The Senior Manager will lead the development of AI / ML features across our product ecosystem, involving architectural design, review, leadership, and clear communication. This role requires collaboration with teams in the US and external partners in Belgrade, Serbia.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow Terabase’s Paris-based AI / ML Engineering team.
• Coordinate with the Sr. Director of Software and other key software/digital team leaders.
• Manage a team of up to 4 AI / ML engineers.
• Stay abreast of latest AI/ML advancements and validate related products in construction environments.
• Collaborate with external development teams.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy software to digitalize the full lifecycle of solar power plants.
• Support and communicate with users of developed tools and products.
• Promote a strong culture and effective communication within the team and across Terabase teams.
• Develop quality and testing plans for the team’s code.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years in architecture technologies relevant to AI/ML in SaaS, cloud-deployed software.
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience/training.
• 4+ years developing AI/ML applications in software projects.
• Experience delivering complex software solutions into industrial settings.
• Proficiency with cloud applications, web stacks, and infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Programming skills in Python, C, MATLAB, and familiarity with data labeling and validation frameworks.
• Understanding of CI/CD, agile workflows, and source code management (gitflow).
• Ability to work remotely with distributed teams.
• Excellent English communication skills.
