Job Responsibilities

1. Under the supervision of a manager, contribute to the design, development, or enhancement of new products and processes.
2. Perform standard engineering assignments that are a significant part of larger projects. Use sound techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations under supervision. Assess results for application, validity, and conformance to specifications. Recommend material and process specifications.
3. Utilize engineering tools such as FMEA, Finite Element Analysis, Process Modeling, Design of Experiments, Mold Flow, SPC, and software development to solve straightforward problems.
4. Lead small project teams as needed to achieve project objectives.
5. Monitor and report project costs, including capital and cross-functional expenses. Estimate costs affected by design or policy changes. With supervision, recommend capital expenditure and production methods for existing or improved products or processes.
6. Study and recommend techniques to improve existing products and processes.
7. Investigate new sources for raw materials or processes.
8. With supervision, formulate and recommend engineering policies and technical work aligned with project and business objectives.
9. Provide supervision to technicians.
