Role Description

As a Sr. Database Administrator you will play a key role in designing and developing solutions to support data management, quality assurance, and data analytics initiatives within the Product Development and R&D group.

• Analyze and translate business requirements into database solutions, including developing data models and designing or tuning data transformations for medium complexity use cases.
• Write or tune stored procedures to implement business logic, enhancing & debugging existing database code with a focus on automation, efficiency, and error handling.
• Hands-on experience in query performance and database tuning for SQL Server and MySQL Databases.
• Work as a team member in the development process – analysis, design, development, and testing, as well as providing support.
• Operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercising independent judgement, autonomy & proactivity.
• Provide in-depth analysis to identify current and future issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Work with on-premise and cloud-hosted database solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a SQL Server and/or MySQL DBA to enable handling large datasets.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with data modeling, database design, and architecture.
• 5+ years SQL tuning and database performance tuning.

Requirements

• Experience with OLTP and Warehouse databases is highly preferred.
