Job summary

The IOTA GROUP is seeking an experienced SPS QA/QC Lead to oversee all quality assurance and control activities for the GranMorgu offshore SPS package. Based in Paris with periodic missions to Paramaribo, Suriname, you will drive QA/QC during manufacturing, testing, transportation, offshore installation, commissioning and handover to Operations.

Requires 15+ years in QA/QC in Oil & Gas, 10+ years in major projects, and fluency in English. Travel for site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within Oil & Gas.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in major engineering and construction projects.
• Significant experience in a similar QA/QC leadership role on offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of Subsea Production Systems (SPS) and associated equipment.
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and project quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all SPS QA/QC activities across the package.
• Oversee quality surveillance and inspections at facilities of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Coordinate FAT, EFAT, SIT and offshore readiness reviews.
• Review and approve Quality Plans, ITPs, inspection procedures and other documentation.
• Monitor manufacturing completion, NCRs, deviations and punch lists.
• Provide quality support during offshore installation, commissioning and testing.
• Monitor quality KPIs and escalate significant risks and issues.
• Lead the SPS quality handover process and ensure acceptance of quality dossiers.
• Coordinate quality audits and ensure timely closure of findings.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced SPS QA/QC Lead to support the GranMorgu offshore development project on Block 58 in Suriname.

The project involves the development of approximately 700 million barrels of oil reserves, with first production targeted for 2028.

The SPS QA/QC Lead will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all quality assurance and quality control activities across the Subsea Production Systems (SPS) package, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements and international standards throughout manufacturing, testing, transportation, offshore installation, commissioning and final handover to Operations.

• Lead and coordinate all SPS QA/QC activities, ensuring implementation of the Project Quality Management System and contractual quality requirements.
• Oversee quality surveillance and inspections at contractors', subcontractors' and vendors' manufacturing facilities.
• Coordinate and monitor FAT, EFAT, SIT and offshore readiness reviews.
• Review and approve Quality Plans, ITPs, inspection procedures and other quality-related documentation.
• Monitor manufacturing completion, outstanding NCRs, concessions, deviations and punch lists.
• Ensure compliance with preservation, packing, lifting, handling and transportation requirements.
• Provide quality support during offshore installation, hook-up, commissioning and integrated testing activities.
• Coordinate SPS inspectors and third-party inspection agencies.
• Manage quality-related changes and deviations in accordance with the project Management of Change (MoC) procedure.
• Ensure timely preparation and completion of Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs), certification dossiers and Lifetime Quality Records.
• Lead the SPS quality handover process and ensure acceptance of quality dossiers by Operations.
• Monitor quality KPIs, report quality performance and Escalate significant risks and issues.
• Coordinate quality audits and ensure timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
• Promote quality awareness, lessons learned and continuous improvement across the project team.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in major engineering and construction projects.
• Significant experience in a similar QA/QC leadership role on offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of Subsea Production Systems (SPS), including subsea trees, manifolds, subsea distribution units, connectors and associated equipment.
• Proven experience in manufacturing quality surveillance, inspection and testing activities.
• Strong knowledge of FAT, EFAT, SIT, ITPs, NCR management, quality audits and manufacturing completion.
• Experience in offshore installation, commissioning and quality handover processes.
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and project quality management systems.
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs), certification dossiers and quality traceability requirements.
• Strong leadership, coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to undertake periodic business trips to Suriname.
