Ability KC's Pediatric and Adolescent program is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care and supervise support staff in our rehabilitation services.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Missouri SLP licensure or eligibility. No experience is required, though 2 years of experience with young children and evidence of success are preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with early intervention, early childhood and school age populations preferred.
• Flexibility with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to collaborate with inter-disciplinary team and meet billable unit expectations.
• CPR certification or eligible.

Ability KC is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for our Pediatric and Adolescent program. Under general direction of the Supervisor, the Speech Language Pathologist will perform patient care related tasks and functional supervision of support staff in our Pediatric rehabilitation services.

Education

• Master's degree Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited school required.

Experience

• No experience required.


• 2 years experience with evidence of success in the evaluation and treatment of young children with disabilities and/or developmental delays preferred.


• Proficiency in working with early intervention, early childhood and school age populations preferred.

License/Certification

Missouri SLP License or eligible

Knowledge/Skills/Licensure/Certification

• Flexibility with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing required


• Able to work collaboratively with team members of other disciplines


• Able to apply new skills/information to existing practices


• Able to consistently meet billable unit expectations


• Able to complete required documentation within established timeframes - Word processing experience preferred


• Able to work with families from a variety of ethnic, cultural, linguistics, social economic and religious backgrounds


• CPR certification or eligible
