CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to assess, plan, evaluate and implement care for patients from pediatric to geriatric populations under the supervision of the Director of Physical Therapy. The role requires adherence to standards of Speech Therapy Practice and participation in the hospital's performance improvement plan.

You will observe, assist, and guide Rehabilitative Technicians, provide patient education, and ensure high-quality, culturally sensitive therapy

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• English required, bilingual preferred; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Vital Stim, FEES, MBSIMP, and E-Swallow certifications are preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assesses patient needs and develops care plans.
• Performs reassessments and documents progress.
• Coordinates documentation in the medical record per policy.
• Ensures infection control practices and PPE usage.
• Educates patients and families, addressing educational barriers.
• Collaborates on swallowing assessments and dysphagia program with other disciplines.
• Initiates and implements MBS reports and communicates with physicians.
