A leading human resources firm is seeking a Specification Sales Manager to promote roofing and waterproofing systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in field sales, experience with architects and contractors, and a strong motivation to succeed. This is a key role focusing on specifications and managing a significant project pipeline to achieve sales targets in France.

Specification Sales Manager – Roofing and Waterproofing

The role of the Specification Sales Manager Roofing & Waterproofing systems will involve:
·Field Sales position promoting; felt roofing, green roofing systems, bitumen membranes, hot melt roofing, cold liquid applied waterproofing, waterproof roof coatings, single ply, structural waterproofing etc.
·Calling upon new build clients (architectural practices and main contractors etc.) within Edinburgh post codes as well as TD, DG, FK and PHpost codes
·Majority of time winning specifications with architects, as well as local authorities, building surveyors, refurbishment surveyors and building owners
·Remainder of time dealing with main contractors, approved roofing contractors and architectural; practises
·Inheriting a significant project bank which will help you to achieve next years sales target
·Target responsible circa £1.5m
·Inheriting a pipeline of live projects and projects going through the tender process
·Focusing on refurbishment projects
·Product training will be provided
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Roofing & Waterproofing systems with:
·Proven track record of field sales within the roofing industry (ideally flat roofing)
·May consider someone from a contractor or similar building/product sales role who was technically focussed / building envelope experience / route to market experience in specification
·Will also consider building envelope associated products such as cladding, EWI etc.
·Specification sales experience of a technical building product with either architects, local authorities, building surveyors of building owners/ end users
·Surveying knowledge/ experience may be useful
·Ideally strong refurbishment construction industry experience
·Highly motivated, self-driven with a keen ambition to succeed and progress
·Must be a team player with a professional approach to working
·Excellent communication skills, as well as strong negotiating and influencing abilities
·Hungry to learn mentality
