Technical Solutions acts as the specialist for technical insulation within Knauf Insulation. Knauf Insulation is a world-renowned manufacturer of products and systems for insulation purposes. Knauf Insulation offer its customers insulation for applications within the industry, HVAC and shipbuilding - with the best possible combination of energy efficiency, fire protection and noise reduction.

We are now aiming to strengthen our activities in France and are searching for a Specification Manager (m/f/d), who can support market opportunities and respond effectively with the right solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

Your future main responsibilities will be:

  • Provide technical expertise and advice to new and existing clients to develop a close, long-term relationship that ensures specifiers integrate our solutions into their tender documents.
  • Identify, track and secure specifications on key projects within France.
  • Presentation of products, promotion of services, calculation and specification tools to relevant planners and specifiers (early involvement in both tender and secured projects).
  • Provide solutions to design challenges that fully comply with accepted standards and the industry codes of practice.
  • Specification activities linked to the Industry (energy audits, energy efficiencies, standard optimization…). Knowledge in TIPCHECK is a plus.
  • Support to the sales and marketing, providing market knowledge to the commercial team.
  • Provide internal and external technical training (webinars or live training),
  • Support R&D department with feedback from the market and support with technical knowledge, therefore, create new solutions to meet client’s needs.
What we’d love for you to have:
  • 5+ years of proven success in sales of technical solutions to technical engineers and specifiers, ability to discover and define technical requirements and present solutions,
  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or Bachelor degree with good professional experience in the insulation business,
  • Experience in the business of technical insulation as a plus, network in the specifiers as a plus,
  • Knowledge in HVAC markets and applications, passive fire protection and acoustics serves as an advantage,
  • Ability to travel several days a week all over France, and a few days per year internationally, a valid driving license,
  • A Team player, strong communicator with the ability to listen, recognize and understand customer needs,
  • Innovative, agile, proactive, entrepreneurial, and relationship-oriented approach,
  • French native speaker / English language needed at professional level (B2) / Knowledge of additional languages considered as a plus,
  • Able to work simultaneously on several projects and under deadlines, having a high degree of self-initiative and persistence.
