Hitachi Rail France entity is strengthening its teams and recruiting a Senior Onboard Signaling Systems Specialist (H/F) on a permanent contract for its site in Les Ulis (91) – headquarters.

Position overview:

As a Senior Onboard Signaling Systems Specialist, you will work within the France entity of Hitachi Rail, at the Les Ulis headquarters in the Paris region (Essonne, 91).

Reporting to the Onboard Systems Competence Center, you will ensure the correct specification of our onboard railway equipment across various projects.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and participating in the drafting of design documents, in accordance with client requirements, budget, schedule, applicable standards, and company processes
  • Supervising and participating in the drafting of system architecture documents defining onboard signaling equipment (systems and/or subsystems)
  • Supervising and participating in defining functional and interface requirements for onboard signaling system components
  • Defining technical and functional interfaces with product line managers, other departments, and external partners (suppliers, subcontractors, etc.)
  • Ensuring traceability of requirements across documents to facilitate verification activities
  • Analyzing discrepancies and formalizing their resolution concerning design compliance with client requirements, standards, and company processes
  • Contributing to the versioning of the onboard system documentation
  • Initiating and participating in technical reviews to identify design errors, process inefficiencies, and to define corrective actions
  • Enriching a knowledge and lessons learned database by recording design errors, process inefficiencies, and corrective actions
  • Supervising and participating in cost estimation activities for design in bid processes

Work modalities:

  • Full-time
  • Partial remote work possible (up to 2 days/week)

Location:

  • At Parc d’activités de Courtabœuf
  • Easy access: by car via A10/A11 and N118, or bus n°22 from Massy Palaiseau RER station (RER B and C)

Your profile:

With a Bac+5 degree, you are a graduate of an engineering school or university. This role requires:

  • At least 5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of complex system architecture and interface functioning
  • Knowledge of railway signaling systems and related standards
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools and documentation
  • Analytical mind and rigorous reasoning
  • Team spirit and autonomy, collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency in French and English, technical and conversational, to operate effectively in an international, multicultural environment
