Qualifications

A Day in the Life

Under the support of the Market Access Manager, the candidate will lead the development and implementation of health economics and reimbursement activities aimed at facilitating patient access to our therapies. The role involves providing expertise in Health Economics to support the development and implementation of reimbursement strategies.

In collaboration with the Business Unit, the candidate defines, develops, and executes reimbursement and financing projects/strategies for Medtronic therapies to optimize market access in France and finalize reimbursement through the national health system.

The candidate will define the clinical and economic value of Medtronic therapies and solutions, prepare necessary arguments, and demonstrate this value proposition to health authorities and key stakeholders in the healthcare system, including hospitals.

Preparation and support of price negotiations with authorities in collaboration with the Market Access Manager.

Main Missions

The Project Manager is responsible for operational productivity. They oversee assigned projects in collaboration with the Market Access Manager. The project manager can work on various business models, therapeutic areas, and project types (reimbursement files, negotiations, EPI, etc.) to gain industry expertise.

  • Before the product launch, analyze the funding situation of the therapy/solution and define with the European/international headquarters the data needed to ensure relevant funding by the French health system.
  • Design tactical steps to obtain funding and execute them: alternative innovation funding, analysis or design of clinical and economic data, medical consensus.
  • Prepare, submit, and monitor reimbursement files and economic models for health authorities, including direct interaction with the project leader at HAS (CNEDiMTS and CEESP).
  • Prepare and support negotiations with the Economic Committee for Health Products, in collaboration with the Market Access Manager.
  • Maintain active monitoring of the environment.
  • Prepare economic value tools (budget impact models, PMSI analysis) to assist in demonstrating economic value on the ground.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Specific Education: Master's in Health Economics.
  • Initial scientific training (doctor, pharmacist, engineer, economic sciences, etc.).
  • Previous relevant experience, possibly in consulting, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or public institutions, is an asset.
  • Strong writing and communication skills (in French and English).
  • Good analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Mobility: 2 to 4 days per month.
Assets for the Position
  • Good knowledge of clinical trial execution and observational studies is an asset.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Business acumen.

This position is to be filled quickly on a permanent contract.
