Job summary

Agena Space seeks an Embedded Software Engineer for an internship to power space propulsion and orbital systems. You will prototype on microcontrollers with Linux RTOS, and contribute to real-time software used in space environments.

The role emphasises hands-on development, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and collaboration with suppliers. English communication is valued; French language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Electronics/Avionics, Software, or related field with embedded software experience.
• Proficient in microcontroller programming, Linux, and RTOS.
• Quick Python prototyping (MVP), C/C++, Linux, plus Java and HTML basics; GitHub collaboration.
• Knowledge of sensors, micro-actuators, fibre optics, wireless networks; AI in embedded is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for space systems.
• Propose technical solutions and foster hacker mindset within the team.
• Verify and validate real-time systems and hardware-in-the-loop.
• Coordinate software interfaces with internal and external suppliers.
• Take the lead in embedded software development activities.
• Manage software development, integration and delivery processes.
