Job Description:
The MGallery Hotel Collection features boutique hotels, each with its own original design and unique stories to tell. Joining MGallery means experiencing memorable moments.
MGallery Nairobi Gigiri will include 105 rooms and suites, four restaurants, meeting rooms, a business centre, and wellness facilities such as a gym, pool, and spa. Located on Gigiri’s Limuru Road, close to Nairobi’s city centre and Village Market, it attracts UN and NGO delegates, diplomats, and leisure visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial consultations to determine clients' needs and recommend Ayurvedic treatments.
- Assess clients' dosha and discuss health concerns or preferences.
- Provide Ayurvedic treatments like Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Swedana, and other therapies.
- Ensure treatments meet high standards, with attention to detail and client comfort.
- Offer additional spa services such as facials, scrubs, and wraps, using Ayurvedic principles.
- Maintain knowledge of spa services, products, and promotions.
- Ensure client comfort and satisfaction, addressing concerns or requests.
- Provide post-treatment advice on lifestyle and diet based on Ayurvedic principles.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following hygiene protocols.
- Properly store and handle Ayurvedic oils, herbs, and materials.
- Collaborate with team members for a seamless client experience.
- Participate in training and education to stay updated on treatments.
- Promote Ayurvedic products and spa retail items.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to spa revenue.
- Keep records of treatments, preferences, and feedback.
- Report equipment issues or shortages to the Spa Manager.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in Ayurvedic therapy or related field.
- Additional certifications in spa therapies are a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience as a Spa Therapist focusing on Ayurvedic treatments.
- Experience in luxury spa or hotel environment preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, treatments, and products.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform treatments with care and precision.
- Sales and customer service skills.
- Passion for holistic wellness and high-quality service.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
