Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Solar Technician to troubleshoot, maintain and repair solar PV systems across multiple sites in the US. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will ensure safe, efficient operation and respond to service needs.

You will progress through Trainee to Level III, with on-call duties, travel between Newburgh NY, Shoreham NY, New London CT, and Bridgeport CT, and the ability to read schematics, use hand tools, and follow environmental and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or within first 6 months of employment.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Demonstrable mechanical aptitude; no prior electrical experience required.
• Willingness to travel and work non-standard hours (nights, holidays, weekends).
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Trainee: Follow safety procedures, shadow experienced technicians, maintain tools, operate service vehicle, be on-call.
• Level I: Assist higher-level techs in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of PV systems.
• Level II: Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance; travel as needed.
• Level III: Execute complex maintenance; supervise and train; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
