Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Operator III to operate listed equipment in accordance with project requirements and Mortenson safety policies. The role includes maintaining a clean work area, performing routine maintenance, and monitoring equipment for malfunctions.

Candidates should have at least one year of related experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read manuals and load charts. The position is full-time and on site with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of related experience.
• Current driver’s license with endorsements as required by law.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts.
• Ability to operate equipment by moving levers, shifting gears, depressing pedals, and maneuvering steering wheels.
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.

Job description

Operator IIIMortenson is currently seeking an Operator III that will be responsible for operating equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follows prescribed safety regulations
• Ensures that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
• Performs routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning
• Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
• Follows work plans and pre-task cards
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
• Operates the following equipment based on the requirements of the project: Mini ExcavatorBackhoeTrackhoeLoaderForklift/TelehandlerBobcat/Skid-steer

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications as required
• Minimum one (1) year of related experience
• Current driver's license of proper classification and necessary endorsements as required by law
• Strong teamwork , positive attitude, professional customer service skills, and detail-oriented; ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts; Ability to operate equipment by moving levers, shifting gears, depressing pedals, and maneuvering steering wheels; knowledge of equipment and their uses; basic mathematical skills
• Ability to work independently with active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements*
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling: up to 50 lbs.
