Job Description:

Dematic is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to join our R&D Systems and Software QA organization. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team working on the latest technology stack and contributing to bringing new products to market. The QA practice is crucial to delivering top-tier intralogistics solutions. The ideal candidate should have domain expertise in intralogistics, experience in agile and continuous delivery environments, and be capable of working with local and global teams.

The role involves creating, updating, and extending software tests, focusing on automation testing, using Dematic’s internal frameworks and tools. The candidate will collaborate with product management and development teams to understand requirements, develop test cases, and improve testing frameworks. They will also help integrate QA practices into the software development lifecycle, emphasizing continuous integration and delivery.

The estimated base pay range is $93,750 - $143,750, with final compensation based on various factors including location, education, experience, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will do in This Role:

• Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test suites for complex microservices-based applications.
• Prioritize defects, perform root cause analysis, and support software rollouts through automation and CI/CD integration.
• Ensure test execution in containerized and cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes, GCP).
• Document testing frameworks, strategies, and methodologies.
• Conduct performance and volume testing to evaluate system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish QA processes within an agile SDLC.
• Maintain test management tools and integrate testing with CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, develop automation tools, and improve testing strategies.
• Mentor junior QA engineers to foster learning and innovation.

• Familiarity with GCP, DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git), and test management platforms.
• Knowledge of virtualization, networking, shell scripting, and Linux OS.

Additional Requirements:

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in software test engineering, scripting, execution, and monitoring.
• 5+ years in automation test development using Java and scripting languages.
• 2+ years experience with cloud environments and related tools.
