Hitachi Astemo is one of the major actors on the brake development market. At Hitachi Astemo, several innovative braking systems are developed for international automotive industries. As part of the autonomous vehicle development program, the software department is developing the Automatic Parking Brake (APB) which is based on an electromechanical system controlled by an advanced control function.

Your mission:

Your goal is to develop/improve some APB features and ensure the good integration of those features into the full APB embedded software which will be used for vehicle testing. To achieve this goal, you will:

• Understand existing software features,
• Improve existing software features,
• Develop the solution in Matlab/Simulink based on Model Based Design development,
• Ensure the quality of development based on MISRA/MAAB standards,
• Conduct Model in the Loop (MIL) tests,
• Analyze test results of the solution implemented.

Your profile:

• Embedded system or Mechatronics engineering degree
• Good knowledge of Matlab/Simulink including Matlab scripting is a plus
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, etc.
• Proficiency in Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
• Technical English; French is recommended.

Tools / Framework:

• Tools: Matlab/Simulink, Jira, TortoiseSVN, Jenkins, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
• Work within a software development team
• 6 months of internship
