Job summary

Merkl is seeking a Software Engineer for its Special Projects team to take ownership of end-to-end initiatives—from data modeling and indexing to product surfaces in the app. You will design scalable data models, build the logic behind new products, and ship features from API routes to the interface, collaborating across teams.

We value strong at logic and abstraction, product-minded thinking, and the ability to move quickly in a small, agile company. Early-career profiles are welcome.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in algorithms, logic and data modeling.
• Solid programming experience, ideally in TypeScript, and the ability to ship a feature end to end: database, API, interface.
• Comfort with rapid iteration and validation using live or historical data.
• AI-powered efficiency: you use AI coding tools daily and understand every line you ship.

Responsibilities

• Leading cross-team projects from exploration to production.
• Designing data models and database structures ingesting and serving large volumes of onchain data.
• Building the logic and abstractions behind new products atop Merkl's engine.
• Shipping the product surface in our app, from API routes to the interface.
• Handing over what becomes standard to Engine and Product teams with required documentation.
