Job Description:

YOUR ROLE:

Materials Management Service is a strategically important core component that underpins the future of all 3DS brand materials-related products and services.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work with Product Management, and customer-facing teams, including those within other 3DS brands, to contribute towards overall 3DS materials management strategy and roadmap;
2. Contribute towards creating and validating project plans for the materials management team that will deliver the roadmap. Appreciate the need for frequent incremental delivery to our customers;
3. Participate in the definition of the architecture of the Materials Management Service and related components, proactivity to challenge and encourage new ideas;
4. Coordinate with QA to ensure new and existing functionality has appropriate automated test coverage;
5. Work with the documentation team to document new features and improvements;
6. Act as a technical expert on the Materials Management Service and its supporting technologies. Be able to answer questions originating from customers as well as internally;
7. Regularly present your and the team's work to internal stakeholders and customers;
8. Keep up to date with relevant tools, technologies, and processes. Seek out and act on opportunities to introduce them into the team;
9. Lead by example and contribute towards fostering a culture of openness, innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master's degree in computer science or related fields;
2. Experience in coding (web, cloud, algorithms, industry processes…);
3. Experience of modern development techniques and environments (agile, web, cloud…);
4. Experience working as part of and with geographically dispersed teams;
5. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written;
6. Excellent presentation skills.

The ideal candidate would have experience with most of the following technologies and a desire to learn the rest:

1. Software architecture and design patterns and best practices;
2. Junit or similar testing framework;
3. Git;
4. Awareness of DevOps best practices;

Experience in the following would be a bonus:

1. Shell scripting;
