Bigblue in Paris is offering a gap-year or end-of-studies internship for an engineering student eager to dive into logistics and e‑commerce. You will contribute to ETA prediction, dashboards, and parcel routing while collaborating with senior engineers.

This role provides hands-on exposure to Go, TypeScript, React, Atlas WMS, and FoundationDB within a fast-growing startup with an international footprint.

Qualifications

• Student at a top Engineering School seeking a gap-year or end-of-studies internship.
• Fluent in English; all docs and code are in English.
• Willingness to learn, curiosity and openness to new technologies.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in software engineering or basic coding knowledge.

Responsabilités

• ETA Prediction: predict delivery times using ML and ops expertise.
• Dashboards & Data Monitoring: develop data visualization tools for merchants.
• Parcel Routing Optimization: optimize logistics flows and routing algorithms.
• Backend: deployed on Google Kubernetes Engine; backend in Go.
• Frontend: built with TypeScript and React.
• Explore infra: FoundationDB and gRPC in the stack.

• ETA Prediction: Predict delivery times by combining Machine Learning with our operational expertise to provide a new experience for end customers.
• Dashboards & Data Monitoring: Develop our Data Visualization tools to enable merchants to monitor their activity.
• Parcel Routing Optimization Algorithms: Optimize our logistics flows and parcel routing algorithms for shipments in transit around the world.

• Backend: Automatically deployed on Google Kubernetes Engine, Bigblue’s Backend is coded and tested in Go.
• Frontend: Bigblue’s Frontend is developed in TypeScript using the world’s most widely known framework: React.
• Infrastructure: We use a NoSQL database recently open-sourced by Apple: FoundationDB. The gRPC protocol enables communication between the Backend and the Bigblue web application.

• Strong willingness to learn and discover new technologies, intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness

• Previous experience in software engineering or basic coding knowledge
