Scaleway is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Elastic Metal / Bare Metal team. The team manages more than 15,000 servers across 6 data centers in Europe. Responsibilities include managing the API for Elastic Metal servers, server configuration, stack installation, maintenance tasks, and communication with other services such as billing, authentication, and private networks. The product is built on an autonomous microservice architecture developed in-house to oversee all bare metal activities.

Profil recherché

• Technical skills:
• Languages: Go
• Fluent in Git and SQL
• Knowledge of queuing systems: RabbitMQ
• Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana
• Experience installing major OS: GNU/Linux Debian & Ubuntu, CentOS, ESXi, Proxmox, Windows Server

• Soft skills:
• Peer reviews
• Team spirit and mutual aid
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Autonomy and rigor

• Additional technical skills:
• Experience with gRPC and Protobuf
• Familiarity with container orchestration: Nomad, Kubernetes

You will be part of the Elastic Metal Team, covering all aspects of Bare Metal servers. Our team values knowledge sharing and skill improvement across various areas. You will work closely with experts on the platform, review code, and collaborate with diverse teams including SREs, front-end developers, and others. Responsibilities include system optimization for scalability and resilience, automating data insights, and utilizing internal platform tools.
