Job summary

Owkin is building the world leading Agentic AI product for biomedical researchers by combining robust engineering practices with cutting-edge AI technologies. You will work on a real-time system that integrates LLMs, tool-calling, and interactive UI elements, ensuring users can seamlessly engage with complex domain data.

Based in Paris or remote in France, the UK, or Germany, you will guide a multidisciplinary team, balance engineering principles with innovation, and contribute to Owkin’s core

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of system architecture, infrastructure design, and building resilient distributed systems.
• Extensive experience with production environments: CI/CD, high availability, observability, and security.
• Proficiency with Claude Code and other AI software engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team across product, design, software, ML and biomedical scientists.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable AI systems.
• Drive technical decisions and provide context-aware solutions for AI systems in biological research.
• Lead core stack component development focusing on sustainability, scalability, security, reliability, and performance.
• Mentor colleagues through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
