JD.com is seeking an experienced Java software engineer to develop backend services for Joybuy across European markets including the UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands. You will focus on performance, scalability, and integration with global infrastructure.

Work with product management to deliver reliable services, improve system reliability, monitor performance, and adopt new technologies. Strong programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, and English/Chinese communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in Java programming and Spring Boot.
• Proactive, fast learner with strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills in Chinese and English.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain Joybuy's backend systems with high performance, availability, concurrency, security and scalability.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, implementing control strategies for monitorability and rollback capabilities.
• Research, adopt and promote new technologies and methodologies.
• Collaborate with product teams to align on global system architectures and drive technical growth.

About The Team

You’ll be joining the JD.com team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

JD.com is seeking an experienced Java software engineer who focuses on developing our software services for our retail business, Joybuy, in European countries such as the UK, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. In this role, you will focus on system performance, scalability, and integration across global infrastructure. You will work closely with product management teams to develop softwares that support marketing, ecosystem, fulfilment and supply chain management in a dynamic international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Joybuy's backend systems, ensuring high performance, availability, concurrency, security, and scalability.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout project implementation, developing and executing effective control strategies that cover monitorability, maintainability, and grey release or rollback capabilities.
• Research, adopt, and promote new technologies and methodologies.
• Identify integration opportunities between emerging technologies and global system architectures to drive the team’s technical growth and strengthen architectural foresight.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in Java programming and Spring Boot.
• Passionate about technology and continuous improvement, demonstrating exceptional coding proficiency, a commitment to clean and elegant code, and a keen interest in exploring open-source projects.
• Proactive, fast learner, and highly collaborative, with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, capable of independently identifying and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Effective communication skills in Chinese and English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Work experience in large-scale ecommerce companies.
• Experience in supplier and merchant tools.
• Experience in UK and European business.
