Farfetch is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Technology team. You will develop end-to-end solutions, review initiatives before deployment, and maintain systems addressing issues while delivering high-quality software.

You will collaborate in an agile environment, design and expand modular architectures, and participate in code reviews. The role emphasizes learning, sharing knowledge, and using the latest technology stack to help our luxury marketplace scale globally.

Qualifications

• Expert in object oriented languages (C#).
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Familiar with REST APIs and unit tests.
• Experience with agile methodologies is a plus.
• Autonomous with ability to make technical decisions.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for improving and maintaining our project portfolio. As a Software Engineer, your duties will include developing end-to-end solutions, reviewing initiatives prior to their deployment and subsequent maintenance phase addressing any arising issues, and developing enhancements based on our business teams requirements. You will ensure that all developments undergo rigorous testing and review. Effective communication is crucial in this role, as you will frequently interact with issue reporters to thoroughly understand problems and convey clear solutions. You will be working in a very friendly environment and be part of a well‑motivated, talented and growing team. • Knowledgeable of unit tests and/or integration tests
• Passionate about code quality
• Stay on top of all of all best practices of modern software development
• Knowledgeable of SQL and experience using relational databases
• Knowledgeable of REST APIs
• A professional with experience working with agile methodologies is also a plus
• Autonomous and able to make important technical decisions that will have a positive impact on our platform
• Interested in large-scale systems
• Passionate about solving complex problems.
