Description du poste
Overview

What You\'ll Do : We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our User Data Platform - Cookies team with our R&D Department of engineers!

In a team serving multiple internal clients — such as audience, bidding and recommendation components — you will design and implement algorithms and processes to aggregate user data, make it available to inform eligibility / arbitrage / recommendation and enforce user data governance requests.

You will understand the objectives of the internal clients and drive the engineering plan across multiple components from design through rollout, which sets a high standard in end-to-end observability.

You will strive to design a system that allows clients to quickly experiment and roll out new user data computed features through the cookie factory.

You enjoy the engineering challenge of scaling multiple approaches through both offline Spark jobs and online streaming processes which must aggregate billions of daily events from billions of daily users.

You manage to plainly explain complex systems to different kinds of audiences and are able to promptly onboard members of other R&D teams on the initiative you are driving.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement algorithms and processes to aggregate user data for internal clients (audience, bidding, and recommendations).
  • Drive engineering plans across components from design through rollout with emphasis on observability.
  • Build systems that enable rapid experimentation and rollout of new user data features.
  • Scale offline Spark jobs and online streaming processing to handle billions of events daily.
  • Explain complex systems clearly to diverse audiences and onboard other R&D teams.
Qualifications
  • You have at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • You have a Software Engineering degree.
  • You have previously worked with Spark or Scala with other distributed computing technologies.
  • You are curious about new technologies and enjoy experimenting with them.
  • You love sharing your knowledge with others and helping them improve.
  • You are familiar with Agile methods and enjoy working with others to achieve the team\'s goals.
  • You have a proactive attitude and you approach problems positively.
  • You have good oral and written communication skills in English.
What\'s in it for you
  • You will be part of an Engineering team that is recognized in our industry and has an active presence at international conferences, meetups and demos around the globe.
  • You will be able to contribute actively to programs that shape our unique R&D culture, such as “voyagers” (temporarily joining another team to work on something different), frictionless internal mobility, “10% projects”, mentoring, technical talks, hackathons, etc.
  • At Criteo, we prioritize work-life balance and offer a flexible remote work policy to support everyone in achieving it.
  • Our company offers a competitive compensation package, comprehensive health insurance, and various additional benefits that may vary by location.
