Volvo Group is seeking a Software Buyer to join the Connectivity Purchasing team. You will drive strategic sourcing across application software, cybersecurity, and embedded software, shaping a supplier ecosystem to support software-defined transport solutions.

You will collaborate with engineering, legal, quality and other stakeholders to ensure value, risk and compliance are balanced while advancing digital services and software platforms globally.

What You Will Do

We are looking for a Software Buyer to join our Connectivity Purchasing team within Function & Software Defined Vehicles Purchasing. In this role, you will contribute to Volvo Group’s transformation towards software-defined, connected, safe and sustainable transport solutions.

You will work mainly within digital services application software, cybersecurity software and embedded software. This can include customer‑facing and vehicle‑connected services such as navigation, route planning, Apps onboarding, voice assistance, safety services, fleet management, vehicle uptime, remote diagnostics, over-the-air updates, connected customer portals, data‑based services, subscription models, APIs and partner integrations. You may also support early‑stage innovation through proofs of concept and supplier scouting, helping Volvo Group explore new digital services and business models. Your mission will be to secure the right supplier ecosystem, commercial set‑up and cross‑functional collaboration to support Volvo Group’s technology roadmap, customer value and business ambitions.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the future of digital and software purchasing. Working across areas such as application software, cybersecurity, connected services, mobile apps, customer portals and software platforms, you’ll drive strategic sourcing initiatives and create business value in a fast‑moving environment.
