Forvia Interiors is seeking a Regional Buyer based in Méru (Oise). The role sits in the Regional IdP team to manage supplier issues aligned with the IdP Purchasing Strategy, driving QCD improvements and regional contracting follow-ups.

You will participate in commodity projects, consolidate local needs, and implement contracts while leading cost-saving actions with plants and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and legal alignment.

Qualifications

• Higher education level (bachelors, masters, MBA) in Engineering or Business.
• Nice to have: Professional purchasing qualification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing in an industrial environment.
• Nice to have: experience in production.
• International assignment experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Participate in IdP Commodity team projects and competitive bids, integrating regional needs.
• Take charge of implementing commodity contracts in the region and audit contract compliance.
• Consolidate local needs, globalize bids, reduce supplier base and manage contracts regionally where sensible.
• Lead productivity actions with suppliers and identify savings beyond price negotiation.
• Ensure contract compliance and liaise with Legal as needed; deploy supplier reporting.
• Manage the administrative purchase order process and ensure procurement rules and ethics codes are followed.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Our Interiors activity is looking for a Regional Buyer to be based at Méru (Oise).

A Regional Buyer belongs to a Regional IdP team in charge of all plants located in a defined geographical area. The role of a Regional Buyer is to manage and monitor all supplier issues in line with Group IdP Purchasing Strategy to improve Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance, and to contribute to, or to lead productivity actions.

The main missions of the role are:

Be part of the IdP Commodity team projects:

o Participate to the projects and competitive bids led by the IdP Commodity team. Integrate the needs of the region. Contribute to data collection, specifications, and evaluation of the results.

o Take in charge the implementation of the commodity contracts in the Region. Ensure implementation follow-up and regular audits of the contract compliance.

Optimize purchases portfolio not covered by Corporate contracts or projects in progress:

o Consolidate recurrent local needs, globalize completive bids, reduce supplier base and manage it through consistent contracts, at regional level when makes sense, involving Legal when necessary

o Take in charge local one-shot needs, projects, negotiation and contracts

o Guarantee supplier contracts are consistent, involving the legal department when necessary or following their guidelines, in order to protect the company.

o Ensure follow-up of contract application and regular audit of contract compliance. Systematically deploy a reporting system with suppliers.

o Make sure that the above actions are consistent with the Commodity strategy and identify subjects that could be generalized at national or corporate level to get a better benefit.

Lead or contribute to productivity and cost saving actions :

o Work closely with the Plant Managers and the Plants departments to identify and run saving actions beyond price negotiation, such as: best practices implementation, consumption reduction, technical optimization, standardization…

o Lead productivity action plan involving suppliers.

Manage the administrative purchase order process:

o Guarantee the compliance of the purchasing process with FCP rules in the various phases: competitive bids and supplier selection, purchase order process, as well as with the Code of Ethics.

o Manage the supplier issues under purchasing responsibility, such as: prices agreement to be updated in the IT system, price discrepancies between purchase order price and invoice prices, …

o Manage the supplier issues not under purchasing responsibility if they become recurrent and are escalated to purchasing, such as: repetitive problem in quantity delivered, repetitive contract non compliance in services contract, ….

Apply the methodology and IT tools defined and implemented by Group IdP, such as:

o Project management and associated reporting process

o Contract Database, to store and manage all contracts

o e-RFI, e-RFQ, e-auction tools when makes sense

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be :

Minimum Education Level: Higher education degree (bachelors, master, MBA) in Engineering, or Business

Nice to have: Professional purchasing qualification

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing in an industrial environment

Nice to have :

Experience in production

Experience including an international assignment would be an advantage

Skills and competencies:

• Computer literate and good knowledge of IT systems
• Ability to work in matrix organization
• Communication and presentation skills
