Job Description

The technician installs, services, adjusts, and repairs coin-operated slot machines, currency changers, video arcade games, and currency and coin-handling equipment located in the shipboard casino. The role also involves maintaining and repairing signage and computerized gym equipment.

Hiring Requirements

• Formal training in the repair and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment.
• Previous experience as a slot technician in live casinos is preferred, especially on ships.
• Ability to read safety rules, instructions for tools and equipment, and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and considerately with guests.
• Effective communication skills to resolve issues and negotiate with guests, department heads, and shipboard staff.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Quick and accurate counting of paper and coin currency.
• Basic math skills related to monetary units and slot machine percentages.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
