Description

As a Construction Site Manager at Hitachi , you will lead all on-site construction and commissioning activities for HVDC converter station projects in France and internationally. You will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, managing site teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and driving the project toward timely and cost-effective completion. Your role will span the entire project lifecycle on-site, from initial mobilization to final handover.

Your responsibilities:

• Manage manpower planning and site logistics to meet project milestones.

• Ensure all site personnel understand the Scope of Work (SoW) and Division of Work (DoW).

• Handle change management, including variation orders and subcontractor coordination.

• Guarantee that all testing is completed and accepted by the customer.

• Promote a strong Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) culture on-site.

• Ensure quality assurance and proper archiving of all project records.

• Secure all necessary permits and licenses for compliant site operations.

• Maintain structured and up-to-date documentation and reporting.

Your background:

• A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering.

• At least 5 years of experience as a Site Manager in energy or industrial construction projects.

• Fluency in both English and French, written and spoken.

• Strong commercial awareness and experience in contract management.

• Hands-on experience in civil works, installation, and/or commissioning.

• Certified knowledge in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices.

• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Votre profil :

• Diplôme d’ingénieur en génie mécanique, électrique ou civil.

• Minimum 5 ans d’expérience en tant que responsable de chantier dans des projets de construction énergétique ou industrielle.

• Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais, à l’écrit comme à l’oral.

• Bonne connaissance des aspects commerciaux et expérience en gestion de contrats.

• Expérience pratique en travaux civils, installation et/ou mise en service.

• Connaissances certifiées en pratiques HSE.

• Excellentes compétences en organisation, leadership et communication.

• Disponibilité pour voyager et travailler sur site en France, en Europe et à l’étranger.
