Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Logistics Demand Management Teams develop, integrate and provide short-term accounts or brand specific forecasts for internal operations, including replenishment data, customer data, sales promotion information, marketing plans, and new distribution/product deletions. They are responsible for facilitating, managing, and executing strategic directions related to plant performance, customer demand agreements, supply chain improvements, revenue forecasting, and overall improvement in delivery metrics globally. They assist in improving demand system forecasting accuracy for customers. The Demand Management Teams maintain and manage product history, forecasts, and promotional demand. They analyze internal demand stream information and categorize according to demand patterns. They may also input sales/marketing intelligence into forecast systems, working with sales organizations, national sales accounts, marketing, and related forecasting and planning groups.

What your background should look like:

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly Sales and Operations planning process by ensuring accurate data flow from the broader ecosystem to IBP Demand, and support all demand planners and analysts within the SI&OP organization.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Master Data management, Pricing, TEIS, and all respective functions to understand data issues and process gaps.
  • Define historical data cleanup models and logic to ensure clean data input to statistical/deep learning forecast processes.
  • Monitor the end-to-end data flow ecosystem to ensure accurate data feeds to IBP Demand from SAP, TED, and other data sources.
  • Focus on demand planning master data preparation, gap reports, and data validation with pricing and other key indicator owners.
  • Provide continuous training to Sales and Product Management on tools and data to help them understand data and processes better.
  • Support the monthly Pre-Demand and global Demand Review meetings with accurate data or clear understanding of gaps/issues affecting data accuracy.
  • Develop interim or permanent solutions to ensure data integrity for Demand and Supply Planning.
  • Identify and own process improvement and integration projects related to Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and broader SI&OP activities.
  • Participate in process integration activities for the IBP Suite and SAP, including support for Evolve, migration to S4 Hana, and IBP Suite integrations.
  • Work with Demand Managers, Planners, Analysts, SIOP Directors, and stakeholders to drive continuous process and tool improvements for demand forecasting.

Background and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in economics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of employment experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Customer Service, or Supply Chain roles.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to understand complex data structures.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP R3/S4.
  • Experience with forecast and analytical tools such as IBP, SFDC, TED Webi, Tableau, etc., is a plus.
