Airbus Operations SAS in Toulouse, France, seeks a Simulation Software Development Engineer to join the Modeling & Simulation department. You will help design, develop and maintain real-time simulation environments at the heart of our simulation products for aircraft systems.

The role requires at least 3 years of software engineering experience and proficiency in languages such as C/C++, Rust, Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript, along with Git, JIRA, Jenkins and Bash.

Job Description

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Simulation Software Development Engineer (f/m) to join our Modeling & Simulation department.

The role is based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team that develops real-time simulation products for aircraft systems. Within the Simulation Frameworks team, you will be involved in the design, the development and the maintenance in operational conditions of Development & Runtime Environments that are at the heart of our Simulation Products, aiming to offer simulation solutions adapted to the needs of different users (system designers, operators of ground test facilities, manufacturers of simulators for pilot training).

Your challenges

• Capture the different users’ needs, in order to design reliable, competitive, long-lasting and innovative solutions.
• Develop the Development and Runtime Software Environments for our current and future Simulation Products.
• Maintain and continuously increase our added values and our knowledge of Simulation Environments.
• Identify operational and technological trends likely to improve our simulation means and evaluate them to demonstrate their potential.

Your boarding pass

• At least 3 years of experience in Software Engineering
• You have technical experience in software development in languages such as C/C++ and/or Rust and/or Python and/or Java and/or Javascript/Typescript.
• You are familiar with software development environment tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Bash, …
• You are able to take a step back and carry out quick analyses, for example to roughly estimate the workload for product developments or future new developments.
• Negotiation level of English.
• French is a strong asset
