To succeed in this position, you need around ten years of professional experience in Marketing Communication, with positive results, and at least 5 years in management and leading a team. Experience in Retail is desirable. You also have professional skills in French.

You are willing to discover new ways to create media engagement and bring stories to life around IKEA products and the brand.

You are passionate about the behavior of the majority, daily life at home and current trends in Home Furnishing.

You have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, inspire and build trusting relationships with internal and external partners.

You have good leadership qualities with an ability to lead peers and stakeholders while ensuring stimulating communication with the IKEA tone of voice.

You have in-depth knowledge of media strategies, Marketing Communication strategy in the field of sales, the Marketing creation and production process, digital marketing, including 1:1 marketing.

You have in-depth knowledge of operational objectives and plans as well as the monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

Finally, you have in-depth knowledge of the IKEA concept, brand objectives, values and IKEA vision.

Your responsibilities

The purpose is to lead and coach the Marketing Communication Team to deliver creative marketing communication strategy and solutions that deliver business results aligned with brand identity and positioning. You will report to the Country Marketing manager. This position is based at the IKEA France Plaisir Service office and you benefit from the partial teleworking agreement.

You will

  1. Act as a member of the Marketing Management team and proactively contribute to marketing plan/output in order to deliver to the common objectives and goals.
  2. Be responsible for leading the Marketing Communications Team and driving the totality of the Marketing Communications content to attract and activate customers and consumers, across all channels.
  3. Be responsible for Marketing Communication strategy, planning, creating, and coordinating the brand and commercial communication content part of the Business Plan.
  4. Lead the integrated process for marketing communication development by proactively working with Communications team and Digital team, to secure one voice in the market, and maximize the business and consumer impact.
  5. Be responsible for briefing market content needs to hub (talking partner).
  6. Be responsible for managing country communication agency relationships to meet country Marketing needs and improve impact of Marketing.
  7. Be responsible for understanding the performance of content and relevant metrics in cooperation with Insights.
  8. Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and beyond to secure integration, common focus and maximize impact.
  9. Contribute to the integrated multichannel executions/output of the function in order to contribute to the business goals.
  10. Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate, be a role model of the IKEA values, and contribute to the transformation of IKEA.
  11. Support all initiatives within and outside commercial included in the agreed communication plan.
