The Showroom Manager at Stark Carpet is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving sales growth, enhancing client retention and relationships, leading a dynamic sales team, and ensuring the smooth operation of the showroom. This role is designed for individuals with a robust background in showroom management, a deep appreciation for the interior design trade, and strong leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, goal-oriented, and skilled in utilizing technology to improve business outcomes, embodying and promoting Stark's values and vision.

In alignment with Stark's operational and strategic objectives, the Showroom Manager will undertake the following key responsibilities:

  1. Strategically identify target accounts to organize showroom visits, office presentations, and out-of-office meetings, enhancing rapport for the company and its Account Managers.
  2. Assist in closing orders by providing expertise on product selection, pricing, estimates, and discount approvals to meet personal sales goals.
  3. Reach minimum personal sales goal.

Client Retention/Relations:

  1. Recycle inactive accounts and directly address client complaints and order issues to foster lasting client relationships.
  2. Facilitate client presentations to highlight Stark's offerings and value proposition.
  3. Lead a team of approximately X salespeople, managing an annual business volume of $X million, fostering a culture of success and growth.
  4. Organize weekly team meetings and bi-weekly sessions with Account Managers to review sales performance, pipeline, and strategize on account management.
  5. Conduct individual coaching to promote professional development and meet sales objectives.

Operational Excellence:

  1. Oversee showroom operations, including the management of the Showroom support personnel, to ensure a high standard of operational efficiency.
  2. Promote Stark's culture, reinforcing best practices and standards of excellence across the team.
  3. Actively engage in and promote continuous learning and development—for yourself and your team—to foster a culture of growth and adaptability.

Job Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in showroom management, with a strong preference for a background in luxury sales or the interior design trade.
  2. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and technological skills, with a strong interest in the interior design trade.
  3. Advanced knowledge of carpet qualities, manufacturing techniques, or relevant sales management experience.
  4. B.A. / B.S. Degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
