Position Overview
We are seeking a ServiceNow Administrator & Developer to manage, enhance, and extend the capabilities of our enterprise ServiceNow platform. This role will focus on modules including ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change), HRSD (Human Resources Service Delivery), ITAM (Asset Management), GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance), and Virtual Agent. Youll play a key role in configuring workflows, building integrations, maintaining platform health, and delivering scalable and secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
- Perform day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow platform, including user and group management, access control, and module configuration
- Maintain and optimize core ITSM/HRSD/ITAM processes and associated forms, lists, SLAs, and notifications
- Monitor instance health, conduct performance tuning, and manage system upgrades and patches
- Ensure platform security, including ACLs, data policies, encryption, and role-based access controls
Custom Development & Integration
- Design and develop custom workflows, business rules, UI policies, client/server scripts, and REST/SOAP integrations
- Develop and deploy automation using Flow Designer and Scripted APIs where necessary
- Build and maintain Virtual Agent topics and decision trees to support conversational interfaces and self-service
- Integrate external systems with ServiceNow (e.g., HRIS, CMDB, procurement platforms) using IntegrationHub or APIs
- Configure and enhance key ServiceNow modules (ITSM, HRSD, ITAM, GRC) in alignment with business requirements
- Support deployment of asset lifecycle tracking, employee onboarding workflows, risk registers, and case management
- Create and maintain custom applications or extensions as needed for internal business units
- Work closely with functional consultants, process owners, and business stakeholders to gather technical requirements
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot platform issues, ensuring high availability and performance
- Document configurations, processes, and development standards to ensure maintainability
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development and administration
- Experience with configuration of at least two core modules: ITSM, HRSD, ITAM, GRC, or Virtual Agent
- Familiarity with platform components like Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and Update Sets
- Understanding of agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow, and version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Experience with automated testing tools like ATF (Automated Test Framework) is a plus
- Solid knowledge of data modeling, ACL security, and scoped applications
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and one or more Implementation Specialist certifications (ITSM, HRSD, ITAM, GRC, VA)
- Experience deploying solutions in multi-tenant, enterprise, or government environments
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Exposure to ITIL practices, agile delivery, or DevSecOps environments
