Qualifications

SERVICE TECHNICIAN - COMMERCIAL HVAC/R

Lehigh Valley, PA

Elliott-Lewis Corporation is currently seeking HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning), HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration), Automatic Temperature Control (ATC), and Refrigeration technicians to perform routine preventive maintenance, service, and make minor repairs on commercial units.

Elliott-Lewis is a leader in our industry providing HVAC/R installations, air conditioning service, maintenance, major appliance repairs, along with electrical and plumbing needs for commercial clients (no residential).

Responsibilities
  1. Manage onsite repair, maintenance, and test tasks
  2. Produce timely and detailed service reports
  3. Diagnose and repair problems in electrical circuits and refrigeration circuits related to air conditioning, refrigeration, and ice making equipment, across all tonnages and voltages.
  4. Diagnose and repair minor plumbing and appliance problems.
  5. Diagnose, repair, and/or replace hot water heaters.
  6. Coordinate workflow with schedule.
  7. Service chillers, valves, and other water flow devices.
  8. Service reciprocating, scroll, screw type, and centrifugal compressors.
  9. Install, service, and repair control systems, both analog and digital, and program them.
Required Skills
  1. A High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Technical experience through apprenticeship, trade school, or prior work experience
  3. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  4. Type II EPA certification
  5. Chiller education in troubleshooting and maintenance for air-cooled and water-cooled systems
  6. Familiarity with DC controls, pneumatics, and fresh air machines (e.g., Aaon, Munters, Carrier)
  7. Ability to work standby after hours on a rotational basis
Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)
  1. State Class A or mechanical license
  2. Management experience
Physical Requirements
  1. Frequently required: walking, max carry 75 lbs, push/pull 40-75 lbs, exposure to hot/cold temperatures, working at heights, operating motorized equipment.
  2. Occasionally required: standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, stopping, crawling, repetitive motion, working with arms overhead, working on ladders, exposure to high sound levels.
