Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive / corrective maintenance, emergency repairs, and system upgrades for automated material handling systems (e.g., sorters, conveyors, robotics).
- Diagnose and resolve electrical (PLC, sensors, drives) and mechanical faults independently.
- Support cross-border projects, mainly within the EU.
- Travel extensively (> 70% of the time) within Europe for installations, commissioning, and urgent support.
- Coordinate with clients and team members.
- Collaborate with China-based engineering teams for complex troubleshooting and spare parts coordination.
- Submit timely service reports, failure analyses, and safety checklists.
- Adhere to EU safety standards (e.g., CE, Machinery Directive).
Requirements
- Valid EU / EEA Permanent Residency enabling unrestricted work / travel across Europe.
- 2–5 years of experience in field service / maintenance for industrial automation, logistics systems, or related sectors.
- Hands-on expertise in electrical troubleshooting (PLC, motor drives, sensors) and mechanical repairs.
- Proven adaptability to frequent travel and dynamic schedules.
- Fluent English for technical communication with clients and global teams.
- Exposure to logistics automation brands (e.g., Dematic, Swisslog, Vanderlande).
