Job summary

Amo in Paris is seeking an experienced Web Engineer to build and own data-driven web platforms. You will design end-to-end systems, from data models to pixel-perfect UI, with a focus on maps and geospatial visualization.

You will work across frontend, backend and data, contributing to the roadmap and owning your scope with strong ownership. The role is onsite in Paris with relocation support and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience building SaaS products or data-heavy platforms.
• High proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, and in modern web frameworks (React, Next.js).
• Strong experience with Postgres and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar).
• Solid understanding of data modeling for analytics and for visualizing large volumes of data.
• A privacy-aware approach to handling sensitive data, such as aggregation and anonymization.
• Comfortable working autonomously across frontend and backend.
• Experience with workflow orchestration and long-running processes (Restate, Temporal, or similar).
• Expertise in map rendering and geospatial data visualization (Mapbox GL, MapLibre, deck.gl, or similar).
• Experience with WebGL or GPU rendering is a plus.
• Knowledge of infrastructure (Bazel, GCP, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Passion and experience building great products.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building robust, scalable web platforms end-to-end in TypeScript: APIs, services, data access layers and the UI on top of them.
• Architecting durable, long-running workflows and background processes on our workflow orchestration system (Restate).
• Modeling large datasets so they can be queried and visualized fast across Postgres and BigQuery.
• Bringing geospatial data to life on the web with fast interactive maps.
• Contributing actively to the roadmap with product and engineering perspective.
• Own architecture, performance, monitoring and reliability of shipped work.
