The City of Charlotte seeks an experienced civil engineer to manage and execute all phases of water and wastewater capital projects from programming through construction. You will mentor project managers and lead a team on high-visibility initiatives with multiple concurrent projects, ensuring quality and public transparency.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and extensive project management experience in a municipal setting, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Seven (7) years of directly related work experience in engineering or construction management.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and public-sector projects.

Responsabilités

• Manages and coordinates multiple concurrent water and wastewater capital projects with staff, ensuring quality and client relations.
• Prepares and reviews construction/engineering plans; conducts cost estimates and studies to support project analysis.
• Liaises with the public, property owners, other government agencies, and City officials to address concerns and communicate schedule implications.
