Position Overview

As a Senior Civil Technologist (Senior Tragwerksplaner) at Worley, you will play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure and industrial projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and clients, using your expertise to develop and execute civil designs throughout all project phases. Your responsibilities will include preparing technical documents (designs, calculations, specifications), conducting check prints according to our procedures, and supporting industrial projects during critical phases. Additionally, you should have experience in site development, earthworks, roadways, and drainage systems. This role requires a strong understanding of civil design principles, proficiency with relevant software, and experience in delivering high-quality project documentation. Good communication skills are essential to coordinate effectively among various parties and find optimal solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and contribute to civil and structural design aspects, including steelwork, solid construction, AwSV structures according to WHG, site development, grading, and utility coordination.
2. Prepare structural designs for existing and new structures, including calculations and documentation, using dedicated software (e.g., RStab, RFEM, DLUBAL, Robot, IDEA Statica).
3. Support the preparation of detailed design drawings, models, and documentation using civil design software (e.g., TEKLA, REVIT, E3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation).
4. Conduct field assessments, site inspections, and data collection to inform design decisions.
5. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
6. Develop and review technical reports, calculations, and specifications.
7. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technologists and designers.
8. Assist in preparing project estimates, schedules, and documentation for proposals and tenders.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant codes (especially Eurocodes including NA), standards, and regulatory requirements.
10. Participate in client meetings, presenting design solutions and technical recommendations.
11. Support project risk management and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

1. Diploma or degree in Civil Technology or Civil Engineering.
2. 8+ years of experience in civil design and drafting, preferably in industrial sectors.
3. Proficiency in civil design and calculation software, including TEKLA, REVIT, E3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, RStab, RFEM, DLUBAL, Robot, IDEA Statica.
4. Strong knowledge of civil and structural design in industrial projects, including steelwork, solid construction, AwSV structures according to WHG, site development, grading, and utility coordination.
5. Experience in site inspections, field data collection, and construction support.
6. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
8. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
9. Professional designation (.qTWP) is advantageous.
