Manitou Group is seeking an experienced fixture design engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team at our Madison, SD site. You will build jigs and fixtures for fabrication, interpret blueprints and CAD drawings, and support prototype development for new products.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of relevant experience, strong GibbsCAM/CNC skills, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. This role emphasizes teamwork, independence, and collaboration across engineering and production.

Qualifications

• 5-years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of GibbsCAM and CNC equipment necessary.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds periodically.

Responsabilités

• Build jigs and fixtures for fabrication, weld, paint and assembly.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and CAD drawings.
• Identification and measurement of metal stock for machining.
• Setting up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders and milling machines.
• Fitting and assembling fixture, tool and die parts.
• Validating completed fixtures, tools and dies.
• Troubleshoot issues and/or repair existing jigs and fixtures.
• Provide training to production personnel on fixture operation as required.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to ensure quality and product flow.
• Involved in product development via the creation of prototypes and concept ideas as assigned.
