Harmattan AI is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the R&D Hardware Tooling team in Paris. You will design and build lab fixtures, jigs, rigs, and bench structures, owning the mechanical side end-to-end with a focus on precision and repeatability.

The role blends mechanics, electronics, and development across Harmattan hardware programs. You will prototype in-house with 3D printing, CNC, and framing systems, and drive modular fixture standards to accelerate bring‑up and testing.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience designing lab fixtures, jigs, or rigs for development.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, GD&T, and complex assemblies.
• Hands-on rapid prototyping and in-house fabrication experience.
• Ability to integrate electronics into fixtures and enclosures.
• Strong tolerance, repeatability, and fixture accuracy mindset.
• Ownership mindset with ability to work in a small team.

Responsabilités

• Design fixtures, jigs, enclosures, and bench structures in SolidWorks with GD&T.
• Design clamping, alignment, and actuation mechanisms for prototypes.
• Build fixtures rapidly in-house (3D printing, CNC, framing) and via suppliers.
• Own bench and lab fixtures, environmental and reliability rigs, enclosures.
• Validate fixture repeatability and durability over cycles.
• Define and maintain modular fixture-mechanics standards across teams.
