Une entreprise de premier plan dans le domaine de l'énergie renouvelable recherche un Senior Technical Hydrogen & e-Fuel Project Manager pour rejoindre son équipe à Nanterre. Vous serez responsable de la gestion technique et stratégique des projets d'hydrogène, de la phase de pré-conception jusqu'à la mise en service, tout en veillant au respect des objectifs en termes de sécurité, budget et délais.

Qualifications

  • Expérience avérée dans la gestion d'équipes de projet d'hydrogène et/ou d'ammoniac.
  • Maîtrise des méthodologies de gestion de projets.
  • Maîtrise de l'anglais, le français est un avantage.

Responsabilités

  • Coordination des équipes et gestion de la livraison des projets d'hydrogène.
  • Élaboration des stratégies d'ingénierie et de contractualisation.

Currently, EDF Renouvelables is seeking for its LATAM Division a:

Senior Technical Hydrogen & e-Fuel Project Manager (H/F)

Reporting to the Hydrogen Practice and reporting to the Hydrogen and E-Fuel Technical Director, the Senior Technical Hydrogen & e-Fuel Manager is an " Hydrogen and E-fuel" technical referent for the EDF Group. This includes an ability to communicate effectively with Business and technical entities by understanding their issues, and a capacity to coordinate as project manager of one or more Hydrogen or e-fuel production projects in connection with industrial companies from the proposal phase to its commissioning, ensuring the coordination of internal and external interfaces.

On an Hydrogen and E-Fuel project your missions as a Senior Technical Hydrogen & e-Fuel Manager consist in managing and delivering the Molecule (Hydrogen and E-fuel) package within agreed objectives (HSE, budget, schedule, quality). He will coordinate resources activities in the package and ensure coordination with the other packages :

This Molecule scope will include the following activities :

  • The assessment of the local site conditions .

  • The engineering and technical design of the project (pre-FEED*, FEED*).

  • The contractual strategy for the construction, the selection of the contractors and negotiation of the construction EPC contracts.

  • The technical due diligence by the lenders of the project.

  • The permitting process in compliance with the local regulation and international standards.

The Molecule team of the project could be supported by external advisors.

Your responsibilities will be :

Project delivery :

  • Lead the molecule scope of the project including engineering and procurement.

  • Lead the definition of the engineering strategy of the molecule scope in order to ensure optimization, cost optimization and control of technical risks. In particular, the pre-FEED*, FEED* (resources selection, advisors procurement,...).

  • Lead the execution engineering study of the Molecule scope during the whole development phase. In particular, define the pre-FEED, FEED structuring strategy (resources selection, advisors procurement, etc...) in line with the EPC strategy.

  • Define the contracting and procurement strategy of the molecule scope ensuring competitiveness, control of construction risks.

  • Lead the technology survey, strategy, and provide recommendations to the project director (particularly for the Electrolyzers and the Ammonia licensors).

  • Lead the selection of the EPC Contractor(s) and the negotiation of the EPC contracts for the molecule scope.

  • Ensure consistencies and coordination of the molecule scope with all the other technical scopes of the project and with the permitting process of the project

  • Support the technical due diligence of the project by the lenders for all topics related to the Molecule scope.

  • Define the O&M strategy for the Molecule scope and prepare the contractual structure for the O&M activities.

  • Ensure the activities of the Molecule Lead are performed in accordance with the project agreements, the local regulation and the development agreements signed between the shareholders .

Team management :

  • Lead and coordinate the Molecule team in order to deliver the molecule scope on time and within the budget.

  • Ensure project team is continuously composed of appropriate resources. Adapt and improve project team governance and organization.

  • Ensure strong working relationships between the molecule team and the whole project team.

  • Implement and maintain a proper documentation management for all the deliverables.

Reporting to project Management

  • Report to the project Director or Technical Director the progress and the key decisions through periodic meetings and regular reporting.

  • Support the preparation of the project board/steering committee meetings for all topics related to the molecule scope.

  • Ensure permanent alignment of the project with the project director with the progress of the Molecule scope.

Relationship with external stakeholders

  • Support the Project Director and the project team in all the exchanges with external stakeholders for all topics related to the molecule scope (Local authorities, contractors, offtakers, local authorities and communities).

Other :

  • Identify and manage project risks on the Molecule scope, ensuring that appropriate risk management strategies arein place to mitigate risks and manage issues as they arise.

  • Support the preparation the construction phase (staffing of the construction team, owner engineer selection, hand-over to construction team...).

  • Ensure that the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management areimplemented on the molecule scope

In a transversal manner within the team, the Senior project manager must contribute to the incubation of his profession:

  • Propose and develop the technical framework for the sizing, construction and operation of renewable hydrogen production projects and its derivatives in connection with the EDF group's community of expertise, the EDF Industry Division, EDF R&D, an in cooperation with suppliers

  • Contribute to technical-economic analyzes, identify the paths necessary to optimize value creation by EDF through identified segments and demonstrators/first achievements

  • Increase the expertise of the EDF group on all themes specific to the production and transport of renewable Hydrogen through training aimed at the subsidiaries of the EDFR group

  • Support the Hydrogen and E-Fuel Technical Manager and globally the practice to define the industrial Strategy

  • Support and assist other team members in key stages of the project, particularly contractual approaches and EPC strategy

  • Contribute to Knowledge Management of the Hydrogen Practice and Participate to the green H2/Ammonia community within EDF

Compétences et qualités recherchées

Experience:strong experience in the management of technical team of Hydrogen and/or Ammonia project including engineering and procurement.

Education :Master's degree from engineering or business school or equivalent.

Languages:Fluent English (oral and written). French is an advantage.

Qualities sought :

Hard skills :

  • Proven success leading the management of complex energy projects (large scale renewable projects, hydrogen/hydrogen derivatives projects, oil and gas,...) in FEED and Construction phase.

  • Experience managing and developing large project teams.

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.

  • Strong knowledge of the engineering of the Hydrogen and Ammonia production facilities.

  • Solid commercial capabilities with the ability to negotiate key commercial aspects of EPC contracts.

Soft skills:

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to develop and maintainstrong collaborative working relationships.

  • Ability to share information in a synthetic and efficient manner at various level : team members, external stakeholders, project shareholders.

  • Able to work as a team in remote conditions with members of the team located in different geographical areas.

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationship with EPC contractors bidders

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environmental management.
