SCOR UK Company Limited seeks a Technical Architect in Paris to shape the technical direction of its IT landscape. This role requires guiding IT projects, maintaining technical standards, and ensuring cloud transition strategies.
The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of IT architecture experience, preferably with cloud-based solutions, and lead stakeholders effectively. Knowledge of Azure and CI/CD tools like Ansible and Terraform is essential. Master’s degree and English proficiency are required, with French as a bonus.
As a Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our IT landscape. You will be responsible for advising IT projects throughout their lifecycle and defining, maintaining and enforcing technical standards across the organization.
You will act as a gatekeeper to ensure architectural consistency, avoid technology sprawl, and promote simplicity, stability, manageability, cost‑efficiency, and security.
This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to lead stakeholders toward consensus, and a passion for continuous learning in a fast‑evolving cloud environment.
Key duties and responsibilities
As a member of the Technical Architecture team your responsibilities are:
Technical Standards & Governance
Your first assignment will be to evaluate and strategize the transition of our IT estate from Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to Platform as a Service (PaaS) on Azure Cloud, covering various PaaS technologies including databases, application hosting and message handling. The study will be grounded within the current SCOR infrastructure, usages, operation model and security requirements. Key areas of focus do include technical suitability, technical gain, impact on production team, migration effort and cost comparison.

Fluent in English; basics in French is a plus.
