SEIDOR in Paris is seeking a Senior Systems & Middleware Engineer to join our onsite team at the CEB premises. You will maintain, administer, and support enterprise Linux and Windows Server environments, ensuring stability, security, and performance for critical business applications.

You will manage middleware like IIS, Apache, JBoss, .NET, and Java/JRE, perform upgrades, plan geographically across DEV, TEST, UAT and PROD, and work with vendors and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Over 15 years of relevant IT experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong Linux and Windows Server administration expertise.
• Hands-on middleware administration with IIS, Apache, JBoss, .NET and Java/JRE.
• Experience managing OS, middleware, and application upgrades throughout their lifecycle.
• Experience coordinating with external vendors and multidisciplinary IT teams.
• Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken).

• Plan, coordinate, execute, test, and validate OS, middleware, and application upgrades.
• Monitor and optimize platform performance and reliability.
• Coordinate maintenance with software vendors, service providers, and IT teams.
• Work onsite full-time at the Paris CEB premises; occasional remote work may be possible.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY?

• Maintain, administer, and support enterprise Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Ensure the stability, availability, security, and performance of technical platforms hosting critical business applications.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex technical incidents.
• Manage operating system patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
• Support virtualized environments and related infrastructure components.
• Administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade middleware technologies, including:
• Microsoft IIS
• Apache HTTP Server
• JBoss
• Microsoft .NET Framework / .NET
• Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
• Reverse proxy and web application platforms
• Application integration components
• Scheduling and batch-processing platforms
• Web services and API platforms
• Provide technical platform support for applications covering collaboration, HR, finance, document management, web, and corporate business services.
• Install and configure new application releases and technically validate vendor-provided upgrades.
• Plan, coordinate, execute, test, and validate OS, middleware, and application upgrades.
• Monitor and optimize platform performance and reliability.
• Manage technical environments across Development, Test, UAT, and Production.
• Coordinate maintenance and upgrade activities with software vendors, service providers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work full-time onsite at the CEB premises in Paris.
• Occasional remote work may be possible or required.
• Availability for occasional international travel.

Requirements

• More than 15 years of relevant professional IT experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Systems Administration and Middleware Engineering within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in both Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Strong middleware administration experience with technologies such as IIS, Apache, JBoss, .NET and Java/JRE.
• Solid experience with application servers, reverse proxies, web services, APIs, integration platforms, and batch/scheduling solutions.
• Proven experience managing operating system, middleware, and application upgrades throughout their lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of patch management, platform maintenance, performance monitoring, and technical troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting virtualized infrastructure environments.
• Experience managing DEV, TEST, UAT and PROD environments.
• Strong ability to perform complex root cause analysis and incident resolution.
• Experience coordinating technical activities with external vendors and multidisciplinary IT teams.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work full-time onsite at the CEB premises in Paris.
• Occasional remote work may be possible or required.
• Availability for occasional international travel.
