We are looking for a driven Senior System/Project Engineer - Nuclear Transportation to join our innovative and international team.
About Thorizon
At Thorizon, we're a passionate and rapidly growing team of 45 in Amsterdam and Lyon, all working together to develop a new nuclear power solution. We design and create frontier technology for Molten Salt Reactors (MSR).

Your mission
You will play a key role in delivering the capability to transport a Cartridge containing fresh, and later used, nuclear fuel salts. You'll work closely with external stakeholders to develop a transport strategy and to design and license nuclear transport cask(s). In addition to this, you'll identify facility functions, systems and requirements needed to perform related activities such as cask handling and storage.
In your role, you will ensure the validity of technical solutions, the delivery of robust design and safety justification, and you'll input to relevant chapters of the Safety Assessment Report licensing process. Being able to manage parallel workloads is a must, as is the confidence and ability to think outside of the box.
Transportation of molten salts products is relatively new to the industry and so you have a fantastic opportunity to pioneer solutions and influence their success from an early stage. You will be given significant responsibility for the delivery of these systems and you'll manage this delivery by interfacing well with internal and external stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in establishing the company's success.
