Senior HPC / Linux Systems Engineer – Onsite - 70 - 100K, Bonus and Benefits

About the Company

Our client is a global leader in high-performance computing (HPC), delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to support complex computational needs. They are seeking a skilled Senior HPC Systems Engineer to manage and optimize their HPC infrastructure within a classified customer environment. This role is 100% onsite and requires security clearance.

The Role

As a Senior HPC Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of HPC infrastructure. You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and technical experts to ensure smooth operations, system reliability, and security compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, working closely with support teams and vendors
2. Coordinate and oversee hardware maintenance and troubleshooting activities
3. Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues
4. Manage software lifecycles, including updates, patches, and security enhancements
5. Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and optimizations
6. Maintain detailed technical documentation and operational procedures
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient HPC operations

Required Skills & Experience

1. Experience in Linux, Lustre, Infiniband, Slurm
2. Administration of parallel file systems (Lustre, GPFS, etc.)
3. Knowledge of networking technologies (Ethernet, Infiniband)

Special Requirements

• Security Clearance (Secret - PSDN) will be required
