Background:

eu-LISA is the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA). It manages large-scale IT systems to support the implementation of asylum, border management, and migration policies in the European Union (EU). The Agency is also a leader in the EU's digitalization efforts within Justice and Home Affairs, building new information architecture and contributing to a secure ecosystem. Since its inception in 2012, eu-LISA has become the digital engine of the Schengen Area, supporting EU Member States in their efforts towards justice, security, and freedom.

Responsibilities:

• Support of mail servers and mail relays for eu-LISA core systems (SISII and VIS).
• IT support ranging from desktop and peripheral support to complex server and network issues.

Education:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant education (master's degree or equivalent) after secondary school.
• Minimum 9 years of relevant professional experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Server management and Operating System knowledge (UNIX, Linux, Windows).
• Experience with virtual servers, e.g., VMware ESX, is an asset.
• Knowledge of Backup & Storage systems; HP backup & storage systems are an asset.
• Active Directory (AD) / LDAP Management.
• Experience with email and antispam systems.
• Knowledge of Network Access Server (NAS) and Distributed file systems.
• Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems.
• Disaster recovery and replication experience.
• Familiarity with document management systems.
• Experience with centralized software deployment and updates.
• Hardware/software inventory management skills.
• Monitoring systems knowledge, e.g., NAGIOS, is an asset.
• IT security policy management experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize incidents, requests, and changes.
• Experience managing highly available environments and supporting multiple sites.
• Familiarity with ITIL/ITIL V3 concepts.
