What You'll Do

Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an experienced Senior Stream Restoration Designer / Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring that all tasks on a project, from proposal to final invoice payment, are completed by themselves or their team. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the project’s success and serve as the main client contact, embodying ECS Core Values and a positive customer service attitude.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage all phases of dam removal and stream restoration projects, including assessment, planning, permitting, design, construction, and post-removal monitoring.
2. Apply advanced knowledge of stream and restoration techniques to restore natural hydrology, improve water quality, and enhance habitat connectivity.
3. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
4. Provide technical guidance on sediment transport, geomorphic assessments, and ecological monitoring related to dam removal and stream restoration.
5. Manage small and complex projects and oversee the work of team members.
6. Prepare project proposals, budgets, lead business development, and review technical deliverables and reports.
7. Supervise junior staff and maintain a productive workload for the team.
8. Resolve project issues independently, manage client interactions, and participate in business development and marketing events.
9. Physical Demands: Activities may include climbing, working indoors and outdoors, and wearing protective equipment.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.
• 10+ years of dam removal and stream restoration experience, including project and team management.
• PE or CERP license is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities

• Deep understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Extensive knowledge of environmental principles, testing methods, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong client management and business development skills.
• Ability to delegate tasks and manage multiple projects independently.
